Cherokee is a red and
white paint Fullblood Boer buck. He is a proven sire of show quality
kids with correct structure and substance. His kids
consistently have that wide rectangular build with plenty of bone
and muscle that we all seek to produce. Cherokee's
bloodlines include Powell/Holman Casey, who was dual ennobled for
traditional and non-traditional. His sire is Bull City Buckwheat,
who is also now ennobled. He has 340 ennoblement points and 6 Ennoblements showing on his
papers besides his own. He has a great disposition, stands
well on his feet, has dark pigment, and good teat structure.
As a sire, Cherokee adds bone/substance, tightens shoulders,
improves pigment, and corrects fore and hind leg structure.
We lost Cherokee to old age in May 2015. Cherokee has left a
legacy of over 110 registered progeny and has certainly left his
impact on the east coast. His genetics are associated with
that classic rectangular build and good leg structure, and
hardiness. Cherokee was still breeding does up to his death
at over 9 years old.
DNA-tested by UC Davis and filed with ABGA.
